Kevin C. Sullivan represents clients in a variety of legal matters, including business law, real estate, and wills, trusts & estates.
Mr. Sullivan’s business practice includes representing clients in a variety of business matters including: entity formation, ownership and governance matters; financing and investment transactions; commercial loan transactions; technology and intellectual property matters; sales, fulfillment, license and other contract matters; mergers and acquisitions; and competition, consumer protection, privacy and other compliance matters.
Mr. Sullivan’s experience includes representing companies, founders, officers, directors and investors in financing and investment transactions including: founder, angel, venture capital, strategic and other private investment transactions; private placements, IPOs, follow-on offerings, secondary offerings, PIPEs, 144A offerings and other securities transactions; 34 Act, NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX, Sarbanes Oxley and other securities compliance matters; and mergers and acquisitions.
In the area of real estate, Mr. Sullivan’s practice includes representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions. He also represents lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate financing transactions.
Mr. Sullivan’s wills, trusts & estates practice includes counseling clients with respect to a variety of estate planning issues; drafting wills, trusts and other instruments designed to meet estate planning needs; and representing executors and administrators of estates in probate and administration matters.
Prior to joining John C. Sullivan P.C., Mr. Sullivan was a corporate lawyer at large law firms in New York City and Connecticut for 10 years. He also spent three years as a staff attorney in the Enforcement Division of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in New York City.
Mr. Sullivan received his law degree from Hofstra Law School in 1993 where he was a member of the Hofstra Law Review. Prior to law school, he worked as a certified public accountant at Ernst & Young in New York City.
Mr. Sullivan is admitted to practice in New York State and Connecticut.
